The theme of the research proposal shall be
tribology-related study and applications.
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicants
(Principle Investigator and co-investigators) must be the
Life Member of MYTRIBOS (cutoff date for the membership
application is 30 September 2020).
The
Principal Investigator is allowed to lead
only one project but can be co-investigator in other
projects per cycle.
The Principal Investigator and co-investigators are an
active employee of the
organization/institution/university etc.
Executive Members of MYTRIBOS are not allowed to apply
for a grant. However, they are eligible to be a
co-reseacher of the grant.
Applicants can apply for a grant of a maximum of
RM12,000.
The maximum duration of a grant is 18 months, and the
maximum extension allowable is 6 months. (Subject to
Grant Committee approval).
The grant holder should publish at least one paper on
the research subject in Jurnal Tribologi, and MIG should
be acknowledged in an acknowledgment section.
All research articles published in journals other than
Jurnal Tribologi also have a funding acknowledgment
statement included in the acknowledgment section. MIG
should be written out in full (MYTRIBOS Industrial
Grant), followed by the grant name and reference number.
The grant will be awarded directly to your
university/institution.
The payment of the grant will be issued in two (2)
awards as follows: (i) First payment: Half of the grant
amount will be issued within a week after approval of
the grant by the committee. (ii) Second payment: The
balance will only be made payable after submission of
the interim report.
